Wellington the political and cultural capital of New Zealand. Wellington has it own unique charm due to boths it natural and manmade features. Wellington is a compact city due to the hills and sea that surround the city.
The Houses of Parliament and the Beehive (offices for Prime Minister and other members of parliament) can easily been seen when entering Wellington from the air or sea. One of the most noteable features in Wellington is the number of bars, cafes and restaurants. Wellington is home to Te Papa ("Our Place") the national museum, along with the National Opera, New Zealand Ballet company, and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
Wellington is well know for its live entertainment, wheather it be threatre, dance, music or sport at the Westpac Stadium (or "Caketin" as referred to by many locals). There is also a large number of art gallaries located around Wellington.
